Sounds a little much. Especially since the customers do not have to contract with you. Also need to know why the guy his selling his business. What are you going to use for snowplowing?

I don't know why they are telling you its a bad deal, its not. I have seen plenty of deals on this site are about as bad as they come but this deal seams like a very good one for the price. I would ask him to show you how much revenue he takes in a year so you will know how much you will make. From the equipment you listed the deal sounds like a good one and I would buy it. Just go out and price everthing new you have listed here and see how much it will cost you and you will see for yourself this is a good deal.

Where is the truck with the plow?
What kind of accounts for mowing - residential or commercial?
What kind of accounts for snow? - same as above?
Is the guy going to bring you into his clients or are you buying and going in cold?

This may be a good deal but......It would seem like you could spend a fraction of that money and get 25 account and the equipment to service it.

You'll be REALLY pressed to service 35 plow accounts with one truck. Plan on subbing some of that work out!
