View Full Version : Turf Tiger Hydrostat cooling ?
I have a 1999 scag turf tiger with the 25hp kohler engine and have a question about the hydrostat drive system. The oil seems to be getting pretty hot when the machine is used for more than an hour.
How has the hydrostat drive system on this machine held up for commercial use?
Does it make sence to add a cooler to this system?
Thanks for your opinions. Rich.

Here is a thread which addresses this issue.

Would a cooler help? Yes. Scag is apparently considering this right now in an effort to fix the hydro problems.

One off the posts talks about 'dual coolers' on the 2001 models? I have asked my dealer about this but he does not always come through. Where can I find out if these really exsist and if they would fit on a 1999 model? Thanks, Rich
