I'm trying to level the mower deck from side to side.
I am an 1/8 of inch off or so, would this matter? I can't seem to get the sides of the deck the same.
Should i level the deck with a new set of blades.
I have the right amount of psi in all the tires.
This deck is on a 54" jdztrac
Thanks for any help Tony
personaly i like to get things dead on the mark, but no your cut will look great if its only a eighth off.i hope you are going by the blades an not the deck.i use sockets to set mine. one under the outside end of the side blades. if that is one eighth or less and your spindles and blades are strait, you should be level.
this measurement is of course taken with the blades 90degrees
or strait side to side and also on level surface.
i know you probably already know the particulars but some might not.later now

Actually I like to have the blades pointing front to back so I can not only level the deck from side to side but put a 1/4" rake on the deck from front to back with the back being higher.
hi richard ,you are right about the front to back.thats another
thing i learned on lawnsite. but i always had to do that after i had the side to side right. id be interested in hearing other
comments as mabe i can pick up something new to me here.
remember we are leveling blades and not decks. although i guess if you could put a level across the deck side to side
it would need to be level.some decks would be hard to do that
on. hence my method was what worked best for me.later now
