ok in the earlier thread I tried double blades
today it rained in the morning and lost 5 hrs cutting time.
we where at the shop and I desided to put doubles on all mower
I used Gators on top and high lifts on bottom
mowed for a couple of hrs and didn't notice a real big differance.
then got to a yard that was a little tall.
I was using an Exmark Lazer 60"EPS.
a Foot tall Zoysia and Fescue.
went to cut the front. (we mow it at 2" all Zoysia) didn't look to tall
mowed it. got a lot of laying grass. mowed it again. no laying grass
saw a little diff. with 2 blade
got to the back, in the foot tall wet grass. Zoysia and Fescue
we mow it at 3 1/2". cut it the first time. lots and lots of laying grass but NO CLUMPS! just what I was looking for
went over it a second time. finished and looked back to check and see if I had to mow it again.
and to my suprise I did not have to mow it again. most of the time we have to cut the back 3 times to get rid of the laying grass and it's not a foot tall
the other thing I noticed about the doubles is that the mower doesn't winrow
most of the time I have to recut the lawns because the mower winrowed the lawn. No matter how sharp the blades are
although there is a lot more blowout of the front of the mower
I though it did vary well
with all the added noise and fuel usage I AM SOLD ON DOUBLES
THANKS FOR CONVINCING ME TO TRY!

P.S. I should have tried this earlier this spring would have save boocoo bucks on labor
they will come off when the grass slows down
