What is the release time on organics?

Not production organics but milorginite (sp?) and composted turkey litter.
What about sludge? I'm assuming it is all fast release in it's natural state when you buy it from a sewage treatment plant. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge? Trying to learn more about organics.

Organics release most of their N slower than urea but faster than controlled release N sources like polymer coated urea or urea formaldehyde. I'll see if I can find more info for you.

The sewage stuff is pretty fast acting....similar to chemical fertilize. But the organic fertilize seems like months rather than weeks. Hard to see quick results with green sand, compost, corn gluten, and corn meal.
