I just thought I would post this stuff to give some idea's to others and to get some feedback as how to improve. These are already printed so any improvements will have to be on next printing. Looking to add 30 - 40 accounts this year.
Link to ad material I am using this year...

Let me know what you think and how I can improve. The pics were saved for the web so the printing does not look near as good as the actual hangers. I used 48hourprint again this year and am very happy with the printing end result. A similar hanger put out last year gained 2.5% response rate. Hoping for at least the same return this year. Let me know what you think.

He's trying to show you that so people get a bad thought when they think about doing their own yard.

I can understand that, but you don't want people getting a bad thought when they see your flyer and or company.

just curious, but how can you qoute a price..."$35 for basic lawn service"....are you only going to put them on houses that would be in that price range?? Am I mssing something (fine print) ? Looking for advertising ideas myself and just wondering?

I have blanks printed for jobs that are higher than the $35 price. Most of the yards that I do are $35. Won't unload the trailer for less. The blanks have instant quote printed on them and I write a price with a marker. Had these done this way so I would not have to write the $35 on them to save time as most yards are the $35 price.
If you will look at my signature you will see that the equipment pictured on the hanger is not the equipment I use. I do have commercial equipment. That is the reason it is piled up in a junkie fashion in the picture on the hanger. To illustrate the customers equipment and the mess that they relate to. You have a good point in that maybe I should show my actual commercial stuff on the back to make sure that they know I will not be using the same residential equipment that they have. Thanks for the suggestion.

...maybe I should show my actual commercial stuff on the back ...
Showing pictures of equipment makes you look like an equipment service company.

i think it is a good marketing technique, showing a normal customers equipment does create bad thoughts and therefore devolps motivation to spend the extra cash to get rid of those thoughts

I like the idea and what you are trying to portray. I do think the commercial equipment on the back would be nice. Maybe someone on the front tangled up in trimmer line or showing frustration trying to start his mower would put it more in the person's face. I do like it though.

Is that your equipment? Just go work for someone else, why bother? Jeep Wranglers aren't meant to pull landscapes trailers with either

when i first looked at it i thought it was his equipment, but now that i read further posts i see what he is trying to do. its a good idea. How many people are going to look at it the way i did with my first impression?

That's the problem he has. It's confusing as to who's equipment it is. If the homeowner doesn't understand the message then the door hanger will go right in the trash.

Thanks for the positive and negative replies. This is exactly what I was looking for. BTW I used this same door hanger last year and got a great return on the hangers that I placed. I have read that 2.5% is about the best return you will get with door hangers.
Also the Jeep pulls the trailer just fine and with the safari top looks pretty cool. {aside}DixieFerris how was it that you were able to see I had a Jeep but were unable to discern that I had commercial equipment? It is all listed in the same spot {end aside}.Besides I don't want to go into debt paying for equipment. I have paid cash for all of my commercial equipment and like the business model. Starting the season debt free is a great feeling. My next 2 purchases will be a Silverado Duramax 2500 with allison tranny and a 7 X 16 enclosed trailer, but will have to wait until I have saved up this season for those purchases.
