I talked to someone who had the 1000 for 7 or so dollars at office max and the cards were like paper. Vista Print has quality cards actually really nice cards. You can make your cards any way you want. Vista print has good quality cards for cheap 250 for 5.25 most places are alittle more expensive then that. But then again everyone has their own opinion and mine tends to be that vista print has nice cards. Anyone else order from there? Did you like their service/quality?

Besides grass cutting, I also represent a Russian artist and I was in a gallery in Philadelphia yesterday talking shop with the gallery owner and I noticed a stack of postcards featuring the work of 2 local artists. It was a screwed up print job, done by Vista Print. They didn't print the back, and on the glossy color side they printed the crop marks and left them there. ??? Well, the gallery owner ended up getting them for free.

I have observed here that people seem to be generally satisfied with Vista.

They are probably "okay". What I appreciate, is that you didn't call them free. There's a money hook one way or another. But it is affordable.

You have to get up to about $19 per 1000 for a "card stock" paper feel.

And probably $35 per 100 for something with a couple of print colors: not sure about paper color.

But from what I've seen in 30 years of looking in catalogues and exchanging business cards, if someone isn't paying $40 to $150 per 1000, it may not matter whether they did feel like typing paper or cardstock.

Ever seen the aluminumn business cards? Looks like a credit card only smaller and with more style. I'll bet they are 50 cents each, give or take. I don't use those, but it came to mind.

Some business people realize that a business card is supposed to be a higher grade of printed material similar to a resume - both in design and paper quality.

I ordered the free cards ($5+ for shipping). Was happy with the way they looked until I turned them over. One the back they print "business cards are FREE at www.vistaprint.com!"

I have yet to give one out. You could not get any tackier than this...I would like your business, but I am too cheap to pay for business.

It would be nice if they would tell you that BEFORE you order.;)

I ordered the free cards ...

You get what you pay for. And you can bet your bottom dollar that they made money on you from what was probably an excessive shipping fee.

I knew they would make money off of me or they wouldn't offer deals like this. Oh well, $5.00. Live and Learn.:hammerhead:

Actually ... kind of look around before you order from them. It tells you right on the website that their little logo will be on the back of the free cards. You can go the Premium card route for very, very little more ... and once you order from them, they are going to email you all kinds of offers in the future. They will even send you some great booklets in the mail showing some of the other things you can get from them.

Pay attention to what you are ordering (so you don't get the little VistaPrint logo on the back of your cards) ... and you can get some really decent items from them. Also, do not pay the extra charge for the upgraded shipping. The regular shipping method gets to you really quick ... quicker then what they say on the website.

I have ordered three different sets of business cards from them, and have been really pleased with the quality. On the back of one of my business cards I payed the extra $4.95 (I believe it was) for the printing on the backside ... and all I really had printed back there was my web address (this was for a card that all business was done on a website - selling Domain names and service).

I highly recommend them.

I ordered my first set of cards from them they were nice and fit the budget.

My next card set came from a local printer the prices were good and we got matching cards, envelopes and return envelopes. We also had a custom logo done so they added that to everything.

Don't forget that the local guys are in business just like you so support small businesses in your area. It can lead to new work.

I tried to go local with the printing. The quotes I received were 4 to 5 times what I eventually paid to an online vendor.

I used Vista for holiday cards this past year. On the front, it was a picture that I downloaded...and on the back it had the greeting & signature printed with a faded snowflakes in the background. I was very impressed with the looks...and the paper stock was nice, not flimsy.:dancing:

I used them for my business cards and was very happy. They do e-mail to your addy constantly. Got the 100 free postcards for a test marketing campaign for I think 5.95 shipping charge. All in all I recommend them and will use them again in the future.

I got 250 for $5 myself, and for a decent color card, I hand out these things sparingly, if I hand out 50 / year, so I am very pleased.

I wouldn't know about the spam, seems the filtering software takes care of that.

As for the vistaprint logo, that's cool, I doubt customers mind and I have my dotcom on the front, so it looks kinda like a handshake deal, almost.
