I would like to get some advice from operators in Southern Ontario, regarding pricing. Is it better to price by square footage or by hour. What is the going rate for residential lawns? What is a fair rate to charge in order to make a buck. Thanks for the help

square footage can work for larger lawns, but hourly works no matter the size. two props with the same sq footage but one has tons of trimming and grows at double the speed, obviously should be priced different. also must consider gardens, hedge trimming, or whatever else you might include.

also, i no longer feel guilty charging more for customer i know will be trouble.

i do smaller lawns so it is not an exact science to figure out what i make per hour, but it is somewhere in the region of $90-100.

just realized the mistake i made in my reply

we run 2 man crews, so the hourly rate of$90-100 is actually just under $50 per man hour.

im going to take a nap now, cause obviously i need one
