Hit counter for website

Where can i get one of those trackers to know how many people have visited my site? do they make hidden ones that only i can see? the only things ive found, all seem a little sketchy to be giving my info to. I used Yahoo's Sitebuilder and now i guess i have to use Yahoo's web hosting service. Does anyone know, with the basic package if the website will be www.yahoo.com/ or will it be www.10elawncare.com? I dont remember seeing anything on there. Thanks for the help!

bravenet.com has counters you just paste the code into your website and could probably be hidden. For about 15 dollars a year you can register a domain name and get forwarding email etc to make any site show your domain at name secure.com that is how my biz site is set up using the free web pages provided by my isp . A better anternative costs about 10 dollars a month for web hosting I use easycgi.com for a forum I have it has a counter no one would see

It's free, invisible and shows you more than just hits. You'll see where people came from, which pages they look at, how many are repeat visitors etc.

Also get listed in Google Local for free - google.com/local/add

who cares how many hits your site has? except yourself (I care how many hits my site gets, please don't misunderstand me.) - and there are plenty of other ways to get your web stats.

For what it's worth": I don't think homeowners would be too impressed if I wore a t-shirt or hat that tells them " ...how many people I talked to today"

most of the time your site host has a section that includes web statistics. mine shows web page visits, # of unique visitors, how many pages they looked at and more. you don't need a visible page counter (those things are out of style anyway.
