does anyone know any secrets on making our ferris ztr cut like the toro walk behinds we have??

or is it not possible to get a quality cut without double cutting?

Have you tried double blades? Are your blades razor sharp? Have you tried using Gator Mulchers? There used to be a member here named Brandy that was having the same problem and we never did here wether or not he/she fixed the problem.

I saw Brandy the other day while working. He said he is very happy with the quality of cut now. He said the machine cuts the best with stand high lift blades over gators.

How about putting a Toro deck on it......

I am located in Ferris's back yard,they are made about 30 miles from where I live.
Funny thing is there are not a lot of them here in use anymore..
Seeing a ton of Exmark's.....And Hustler's of course..

I don't have any idea how you would get a Ferris to cut that bad. Maybe put the blades on backwards. :)

For the most part...... the ferris mowers I have seen have cut very well. I have noticed that the ferris I/S does scalp a but more than a standard ztr reguardless of what ferris claims.

get a mower that doesn't say Ferris on it!
