granite solidifiers?

Hey all,
Have a question about granite solidifiers. Several years ago i looke up a product that was supposed to make crushed granite work like asphalt. THey showed lots of parking lots and pathways. Has anyone used the product? It seemed to me that in the long haul it would cost more than asphalt. It also seemed to take almost as much equipment to lay it. Any one know?

Crushed granite around here is about as hard as asphalt after a couple wettings and a pass with the compactor.

The problem here is heavy rains the granite will wash.
I haven't looked it up recently but i know there is a product that bonds the granite particles together. I just dont' know anyone who has used it? ANyone?
