Is that a sprinkler on the walkway?

03-03-2007, 07:25 PM
no sprinkler, just a water hose...i thought it would make the grass gleam....the sun was behind me...when i walked inside i could see the effect brilliantly...my camera sucks...im glad i was able to snap at least one photo...and yes my house soes look like its sinking....

His verticles in his photos are not straight up and down, thus the illusion.

I figured it was some kind of illusion. Send it to Ripley's anyway:D

after looking around i think i should descibe what yer lookin at....60% k 31 fescue, the rest a mixture of southern gold and a contractors blend. cut with 56" triton at 2.25"

applied crabex a week ago with two rains. 1st rain= almost half inch, 2nd rain .75"

What makes it worse is that the house is crooked compared to the top of the photo also. I wish I was cutting right now, but if I even walk on my lawn, i'll sink in.

Were cutting most weekly now and have had 4 cuts since january. Although if we get any more rain we will probably skip some cuts. weeds are out in force and trees are budding out. was 65 today.

Even if the photo was taken "evenly" the different amount of bricks showing ? Does it look uneven in "real life" rutledge?

03-05-2007, 01:09 PM
i have never paid attention to it looking level....in my neighborhood, it has alot of hills...so almost every house in here is not level with the ground

It does feel good to be mowing again. We've been cutting weekly for about 3 weeks now. Everything is greening up nicely. In NC, we're about 3.75" above normal on rainfall and temps are ranging in the mid 60's. Had a couple of days in the 70's. I love spring and with daylight savings coming up, things will really get back to normal.
