i found a 1997 f350 at a car lot the other day. and its got about 8 inch lift and 38 inch tires. a winch and its 7.5 liter, and its only got 34,000 mles on it. but they are asking 12,900.
you guys think that is a good deal

That's what it would go for where I live.
sounds like a great truck but thats not a professional looking rig to pull up to a customers house in

if its an xlt 4x4 with only 34k on it, sounds like a deal, i would imagine its spotless with that few miles. 460 will drink fuel, hope you need the power. that lift can come right out no problems and you can sell it for some return, see if they have the stock springs and tires

If it looks good, I'd say it is professional, but I'm not getting into that. The only thing with a life is just think about the amount of times you are in and out of the truck, putting stuff in the bed, and if you ever want to haul a gooseneck trailer. Other than that sounds like a great deal.

That body style is still a winner.

If the lifted truck is what you want, go for it. A buddy of mine has a 93 Ford Diesel with a 4" lift and 35's that he uses for this kinda work, and it SUCKS. BUt then again I'm like 5'8", so that could be a contributing factor. The 460 will drink fuel like it's going out of style, but it's got a lot of power. I just sold my 93 with a 460, it had about 34K too, but it had been a plower all of it's life, so it was a little rough. If it's a clean truck, sounds like a deal.

I think it would be a gas guzzler to be pulling around a trailer all day going job to job with the big tires.
