full size skid steer or compact tractor

Hello, all I don't know if this has been visited before or not so here it goes anyway. I'm Looking to expand and would like you experienced guys thoughts if you had to buy one large piece of equipment would it be a compact tractor or a skid steer loader. And would that skid steer have tires or tracks on it or all wheel steer. I'm looking at mulch, brush hogging, stump grinding, renovations and snow clearing and by this I mean parking lots and sidewalks. Or is this still to small and should I get a mini skid.
