I like that body style HD. I have a 2000 2500 non-hd and it is beige right now, but I want to have it painted the dark blue.

after they got rid of that style front end they never looked great after that IMO.

I've been doing landscaping a long time..I want/need a change.its not about money for me anymore. I dont have the passion I used to have for it...& my entire family lives in another state so I have decided to relocate & do something that I will be passionate about again & to be with family. thanks for asking..

Is that a Western Ultra Mount? What width.
I have a 2004 HD, Green with the 8.5 pro ultra mount. Great setup for plowing.
Does your truck heat up when you drive distances with the plow on front??
03-09-2007, 08:01 PM
yes. ultra mount. 8' wide. I had an issue with the truck getting hot a while back....the clutch fan was bad. replaced it & never had another problem..get the delco factory clutch...the aftermarket one wore out in a week. If you havent, raise your tortion bars up-it helps a lot.

Check with your dealer, as there is a technical service bulletin out on the HD's having too light of a fan clutch. Talk to them and get the heavy-duty clutch. Should solve your overheating issues. Really go check out the sister site Plowsite.com You can find invaluable info on your trucks and plows there, if you havent already

I am a Dodge guy, but I agree that the older style pick-ups were the best. The trucks that were not too fancy, heavy duty, and good work trucks. Not these leather seat, with fancy crap that always is on the fritz, over priced trucks.

I paid 27grand for my truck new...I wouldnt trade it for the world(ok maybe I would) but I had a 99dodge 2500 5.9 gasser(bought new) & it was,honestly-the worst vehicle I ever owned...i could take a half hr listing all the crap that broke on that truck.
