Lesco is doing a couple of seminars with the DOT in our area. There's a lot of good info on your truck and trailer with the season coming up. I've been to a couple of them already.

Grandview, you going to any of them? I was thinking about going to the one on Walden. Do they tell you anything you did not know before you walked thru the door? Or is it just lesco's way of getting you to go to the store. Thanks Nick

If it's the same guy then I know him and he'll tell you everything you need to know about your truck and trailer. He did one last month that I was at, and the questions that people were asking a lot of guys are going to be in trouble if they get pulled over.
I'll be going to the Walden ave one.

I buy stuff from them anyway. And usually a lot of food too.

They had a lot of good info at the meeting. Also a lot of guys are going to be in trouble if they get pulled over this year. Only half had a DOT # at this meeting.

I did not make it to the one on walden but I made it to the one at cross point today. Out of the 60 guys their only 9 including me had dot #. Grandview did you get that crap about all of us now needing med cards because we carry gas. I think its a load of bs.

I thought that you needed one if your original driver license was issued after 1999. Either way I might just get one I was told that you can get one at some medical place across from Zorbas on Transit rd. But we can go back to using the plastic gas cans.

Don't get me started on plastic gas cans. Last year I spent $400 on metal cans now I find out that I could have used the plastic ones all along. Any idea what medical place on transit? Must be by the car wash? I thought that was a physical therapy place. No wait their is that other place by u haul I see commercial trucks their all the time

You need the medical card if you haul more than 1 gal of gas.

That is so stupid. I don't even own any CDL required trucks, but because I have the license I need a signed yearly physical. The plus is I don't need DOT numbers. I don't have enough CGVW. They don't cost money, but it's still one less thing to goof with.

I passed too. What a joke. Lets see how many times We all get stoped this summer and get asked for our med cards

Guys what is the approximate cost of this physical. Where can I get one? Do you just ask for a dot physical?

NMS0219
03-30-2007, 07:11 PM
you can get it from your regular doctor but you need to get the forms from the dots web site http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/documents/safetyprograms/Medical-Report.pdf Mine did not cost me anything my insurance paid for it.

OK, Thanks. I guess I will print that off and then hand it to them. Do they mail you the card or is it that the little card at the end. Thanks
