check with an insurance agent to shop rates. they differ dramatically. around here, progressive insurance seems to be the most "reasonable" for the moment. it changes.....

If you're having trouble just finding an insurance agency who will even consider handling an equipment policy, check with your local equipment dealers to see if they can recommend an agency, then go from there as RockSet stated. I ended up going through Farm Bureau. I found out that getting equipment insurance is a little like getting your first credit card....no credit history, no card (catch 22)..........the underwriter's want you to have years of operating experience to write you a policy, so unless you worked for someone else providing the insurance coverage or worked years without insurance, it only leaves you one option to get insurance....enough said!
