27 Koh or 28 Kaw?

Buying a new 60ztr Lazer Z in the morning & just found out that there's a engine change! Why after 20yrs are you guy's going more with the Kaw. On this model? not saying that Kaw is bad, but what should I do?

I have a 06 lazer z with a 27hp kohler great engine plenty of power. the kaw is great engine to.I am waiting for my 07 lazer z with a 31hp brigs to come in from what I have heard it is a power house.

I would suggest staying away from a brand new engine until you know it's relatively bug-free. Look at last year's 30hp Kohler that had tons of problems. Get the 27hp Kohler that is proven and reliable. One more hp isn't worth the possible headaches with a lemon of an engine in a first-year motor.

If you didnt buy it yet, get the Kawasaki. I have both and the Kawa is far superior to the Kohler.
