What's going on with this site that the server is is so slow? It is taking me 30 seconds and more most of the time to post, and about as long just to bring a thread up to read. that is WAY too long, and I find myself just clicking back off the thread, and off the site to read elsewhere.

This might be a dumb question..... are you on high-speed or dial-up? I have not noticed any slow down on the site from my office or my house. Let me know and I can check with our web guy and see if it is maybe time for something to be done.

Anyone else having issues with speed of the site?

Are you using AOL. Sometimes when I use aol instead of IE it runs real slow. I just use IE now. For some reason around lunch time and dinner time it runs the slowest on aol.

I have extreme speed but sometimes when I click Post Quick Reply, the page just freezes. Sometimes it goes through and sometimes it don't. I figured it's just a busy site

I also get what lindblom described every so often, no big deal at all, just want to let someone know it's happening in case it's part of a bigger problem :)

I have ATT Yahoo dsl and it has been running very slow as well too. Plowsite works fine though. Must be just the extreme amount of users all the time

I am running ATT dsl. For some reason, it seems to be running pretty smoothly, right now. Even at times when it wasn't that busy though, it would hang up often.

We have high-speed, with a wireless router, and every so often, things clog up on the transmission end, and if we unplug the router and reconnect it, things run smoother. No explanation, other than it works for some slowness.

I tried to order your lawn care marketing package, but the site would never let me proceed thru the ordering process. I have high speed dsl. Don't know if there was a problem with your site or what?

It takes a few extra seconds to post too. sometimes I get bored and count how many times the dots go around and around and around.

It is on both of my computers. Comcast broadband on the pc, and my lap top is wireless from my neighbors. Laptop always has low to very low connection. But both computers seem to have the same issues with posting times. I'm not getting any errors. Using internet explorer

Different times of the day make it slower or faster. I'm on crappy dial up at home but many times have trouble with pages opening and such. I also get a lot of gateway timeouts.

I think it's all these flash ads.

Those buttons are just .gif files.

They don't take up any time to load. Most are probably less than 20 K

No one has posted here for a week. Site seems to be as fast loading as always.

Actually, I had 3 consistent "database errors" as I tried to access this thread also. Speed wise, I have more trouble when there's roughly 800+ people on, it's been a little slower as of late, but I guess that's understandable as the seasons change and the traffic increases.

We apologize for the inconvenience - yes this has happened before and we are definitely figuring out what to do to fix this issue. If it means an upgrade or changes to the way things are set up we will do whatever is necessary. Thanks for your patience guys - I know it can be frustrating.
