I say get a 3/4 ton or 1 ton. You will be sorry after you by the 1/2 ton. might as well get a toyota. You just can't haul anything.

Good truck. I believe its rated at 7500 lbs for towing. Small bed sucks but atleast it can double as a family vehicle. Price I think is good, here it would be about $20K plus. What engine 4.6 or 5.4? If its the 4.6 Run away fast. These motors are one of the worst, call your ford dealer they should confirm this. I just rebuilt one and F@#$ it was expensive. Besides there's not much power difference b/t the 4.6 and the 4.2 V6.

I paid $19.5k for mine last fall 04', supercab, 5.4, tow package, 4x4 with 22k miles on it and a tow rating of 8300. The 04' and up are completely different trucks. Much heavier built that the old f150s (I had an 02' also). The 5.4 is a smoking great engine and rated in the top 10 engines in the world. I think you might not like that shorty 5.5 bed though... If it's clean and has the 5.4 I think it's close to ok price but maybe a bit high...

Bet you can't find a new supercrew for under $30 on a dealer lot though...

What requirements for this do you have? 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, auto, stick, reg cab, ext cab... etc etc

super crew cab(that means 4 full doors), automatic, 4.6 v8, F150, tow package, tilt wheel, power windows, doors, etc., looks like an 07 inside and out, 4 tires, front window, side windows, back window, steering wheel, floor mats, spray in bed liner, white in color, gas tank, brakes, passenger door, 2 back doors, driver door, front seat, back seat, mowing part time with 25 yards at the time (pulling a 6.5 x 12 trailer with a super z on it), married, 2 kids, wonderful wife, is this enough?
thanks

Last year I pulled my 7x16 tandem enclosed around loaded with my 4.2 v6 f150 and it did fine in town (highway sucked though). I upgraded to a 5.4 4x4 now and it has plenty of power. The truck you are looking at will be great for what you have described using it for and the interior room will be nice. My buddy bought the 4x4 supercrew last year and loves it for a working family truck. If you are comfortable with the price and it's as clean as you say then go for it!
