No rain for over two weeks now and 100 degree temps to boot. If they don't have irrigation systems we don't cut. Man now there starting to talk about watering restrictions. I'ts just that time of year here in Texas. Most of the scrubs will start to say goodbye now!:D

Have been having the same problem here until this week. Lawns are starting to come back. Had 3" of rain Wednesday and 1.1" on Saturday. It came down to fast both days to really soak in, but helped.
We are having the complete opposite problem here. It won't stop rainning!!! Believe me if I could send some up north I would, gladly!!!

Hello Everybody:
I's Sorry some of you are not getting Rain. This Year has been Good until July, no rain.
The last 2 years were Very Dry & put a Bad Hurting on my Shop & the Lawn Service Companies around here in this area.
I know some of you Guys do not want to think about it, but if I had it to do over again, I would seriously consider doing Sprinkler Systems. We did repair on them & always made good money.
The money was so Good we almost considered doing Sprinkler Installs. It would be a Killer add on to your business.
I know it is also hard on some of you guys, but what kept us from getting into the Sprinkler Install Business was we went to Monthly Year Round Maintenance Agreements. That Saved my Business.

Be careful what you wish for. It has rained here every day for the past month and I have standing water on most of my accounts.

In missouri things were getting pretty dry, and I found myself complaning about the dryness. Now for the last two weeks we have had some good rain and we are in a pattern of high humidity, and on and off showers. Take for instance, yesterday, It was going to be 98 degrees, high humidity, so I took the day off and will have to mow in the high heat and humidity today, plus rain. We are going to have showers and heat all week. You just can`t win for loosing. I think I like the rain better, but I am statring to complain about the wetness now. WHERE IS THE HAPPY MEADIAN??? hope all get the rain they need.:D

We've had it good in Maryland, at least in my neck of the woods until two weeks ago and then no rain. The high temperatures and drought have burned up most of my lawns. Customers are calling and cancelling service for the week. I guess that I will go and log some hours at Best Buy for something to do.

Rained off and on yesterday and today. Calling for continued chance of showers through Sat. We need at least 7 days of good soaking rain to catch up. Many of our irrigation wells are having problems. Natural pond beside my house is dry....haven't seen that in over ten years.
Cross your fingers those of you east of Iowa. Just got some nice rain, 1.29 inches where I live. Looks like I'll be back to mowing!!!!

We were getting a little dry then BOOM!!! A tropical low comes to the rescue.MOved off fla to ga and now to sc and then to nc and points north. Best summer so far in 4 years.
Sorry about the drought in other areas. I know how terrible that can be.
