Is there a problem utilizing fuel additives in 2-cycle engines? I always use a good quality carb/injector cleaner several times a year in my mowers especially in the spring after winterization. The question is, I'm not sure if it is safe to do this on my 2-cycle engines. I've asked my dealer and he wasn't sure either. Anyone have any thoughts or experiences on this matter?

Im not totally sure , but I do know that most cleaners will break down the lubrication properties that 2 strokes depend upon

I only use Stihl 2-Cycle Oil.
It comes with Sta-Bil in it.

I run seafoam every now and then to give everything a clean out and the regular echo 2 stroke oil.
