What should i pay for a Walker that is in pretty good condition with a blown engine?

That would all depend on year, deck size, engine size etc. More info is needed.

I wouldn't buy a used walker w/ a bown 25 kohler unless you intend to replace the engine with the 26 kohler efi otherwise it won't climb hills of ut worth a damn. the 25 kohler is plagued with oil leaks and innsufficent power problems

can I put a diesel on there or is that not possible

What a surprise-a blown 25 Kohler on a clean mower.i think we'll be seeing a lot more of these clean machines, mine included with bad 25hp kohlers.Id buy it if the price was right-I would not put another 25 in though, for obvious reasons.Id deduct about 2000 -2700 bucks from what its worth for the blown engine.

In reguards to a motor swap on a Walker. You can swap the 20 and 25 HP motors with out much trouble but thats all. My 20HP 48" GHS unit has plenty of power.

Tim, I wouldn't want to give any more than $2000.00 for the Walker with a blown 25HP. You can buy a brand new Walker power unit with a 20 HP for $6025.00...

I can't get a new Walker power unit for $6025.

With the 48"GHS deck, 20 hp, Walker would run close to $9900.

We have one dealer in 45 miles. He is sorry too. So I don't buy anything from him, He's got that "you need me attitude, so I can run you over the coals."

Wish we had a better dealer but everybody has turned the dealership down. They say a $10,000 mower will never sell here.

Man, that guy must be crazy. I bought a 2000 model with a 48" GHS, 26hp efi that was slightly used (9 hrs) for $9000 even. I had to travel 600 miles to get it, but I think I saved enough money to pay for my time and gas. There is a 20 hp on ebay now. The starting bid is something like $2700, but I am sure his reserve is much higher.

my 20 hp does this slope ......the deck n mower have markings for year ..... I'd have to agree that around 2k ...maybe 3K if it's a GHS, real clean, good hydro's, deck boxes etc. ..... expect to put 2500 in to her to get it tight .....good luck ;->
