How Do You Determine The Square Footage Of Round Or Otherwise Oddly Shaped Bed? I Mean You Can't Truly Measure The Length And Width With An Ever Changing Contour;can You?

If its a completely round bed use the circumference. Square it off and measure Length X Width

I think about all you can do is make an "educated" guess...like if it curves in and out them go about in the middle of the curves and the just measure like its a rectangle and hope that the spaces where there IS mulch on the outside is about equal to where there ISNT mulch on the inside......:dizzy:

Ok i was really bored so heres a drawing in paint showing what I'm (trying) to say:

The green areas [B]outside[B] the line that makes the rectangle are about the same size as the yellow areas [B]inside[B] the rectangle so that if you just multiply length 1 times length 2 you would have an educated guess as to the area of the bed....hope this helps?

^^^ exactly just sqaure it off. give yourself a extra yard to play with and your fine.

Thanks for everything guys;this information is of great help. I have been using a combination of guesstimating and the type of measurements that "Ground Control" displayed.
