Just finished up buying out another LCO . He wants us to make him an offer on what's left of his equipment. All of it is in average condition (working)

1. 2003 Kubota ZD 21 60" deck 800 hrs. old style deck

2. 2003 Scag 48" hydro 50hrs. SWZ advantage deck

3. 2003 Billygoat walk behind bushog honda engine

4. 3 echo trimmer/eders & 1 echo backpack

5. 6X12 single axle mowing trailer good condition but small!

I gave him an offer for each peice and priced them out seperate for him.....he said I was rediculously low! he kept telling me what he paid for it in 2003 ! :hammerhead: All eqiupment has normal wear and tear and has had normal maintenance. What do you guys site un seen think it should be worth?

My offers to him were as follows: 1 $4,300 2 $2,500 3. $500 4. $400 5. $800

IMO... .your offers seem high.... is he forgetting EVERYTHING mentioned is 'used'???

Hell, I paid $800 for my 6x12 ... and it was new. Brand new.
Echo equipment??? used and abused... I think you were high again.

I wouldn't counter offer. Specially if you don't need the stuff. Let him come back to you after he tries to push it off to someone else that turns him down.

I think your prices are about right maybe a little high on the trailer. I would set back and just wait. If he wants to get them off his hands he will take your offer. JMO

Im in no hurry..we are well stocked BUT it is nice to always have a few spares! that small trailer would make a great spray trailer. You guys are right I don't know what I was thinking offering him what I could get a new one for! but I just remembered the trailer has jungle jim racks...

Your prices seem fairly accurate to me also. I would like to know what he was expecting you to offer him.

I would say you are high on most of equip. especially for back up or extra equip. You have the levridge - set your price if you really want it but he is the one trying to sell it to you. Good luck

Those prices seem just about right on the money. He doesn't know what he's turning down.:)

I would let him keep it all if I were you.I would just go out and buy what I really wanted/needed instead of buying sombodys junk that I don't really want/need.Unless that is the only way to get the accoutts.

Lower your offers a little and he will be calling you in a few weeks.

I would call him tomorrow and say, "now that I think about it, my offers were a little out of line. I am now offering you 10% less for each piece than I did yesterday."
