11hp B&S will not start

It is getting gas to the carb,but there is no spark that i can see.The pionts look in good shape the coil is pertty new. so what might it be.I know this is wide open. But I would like all opions you folks my have.I think I have over looked some thing.Thanks, Randy:confused:

check and make sure all the switches on it are turned on,
checkfor any loose wires and report back here:)

If it has points, then I would change the points and condensor first. Second, plug wires; and third coil.

Dump the points and see if you can retrofit a new breakerless ignition module.

Keep the points, old points systems work just fine, just a little more maintenance. Be sure to UNHOOK any killwires leading to the magneto and then try to start it before you replace anything.
Also make sure that there is only a small gap between the flywheel magnets and the magneto, and sand the magnets and magneto, they can get awful rusty.

I have ressurected (spelling?) many old Briggs engines.
