Hey there gang! Well after seeing some pretty catchy company names on shirts at the Expo I've decided to change my companies name for next season and was wanting some suggestions. It's currently Moyer's Lawn Care after my last name but I feel it should be something a little more catchy. A friend of mine suggested either 911 Lawn Care or MVP Lawn Care. Whats your thoughts on those two? Do you have any more? Your choice could end up being the new companies name for 2002 so let me know. Thanks as always.

Maybe:

Lewis Lawn Care (the city where you live)

Or you might conside keeping you current name, and adding a catchy slogan like:

"The quality remains after the price is for gotton"

"Your hometown professional Lawn Care Company"

"If your grass is not becoming to you, you should be coming to us".

Just a few there to give you an idea, think about what message you want to convey to your current and potential customers.

Look at the situation like you would look at cutting a new account, think write down some different names of slogans, ask your current customers, family, and friends. Get imput and make the final decision.

Good Luck!

Keep it with your name. SOunds more legit and proffesional. 911 landcaping sounds dumb to me. Sorry! I rather sound "normal" than sound like a 13 year old with some of the company names I've seen around here.

Just my 2 cents!

"If your grass is not becoming to you, you should be coming to us".

I like that! I have been trying to come up with a slogan. May I steal this one? I would probably substitute grass with property...

I think Moyer's Lawn Care is fine... maybe Moyer Mowing Co. ... nah

I've seen that one on a sign at a beauticians place.

It said, "If your hair is not becoming to you, you should be coming to Bev"

How long have you had your "ORIGINAL" name?.....How established are you.....Other than your current customers you will be the "NEW KID ON THE BLOCK " again when you change your company name. Is it really the name that the customer goes after or your workmanship.? I mean even if "BUTT-CRACK BROTHERS LANDSCAPING" was your name I don't think you would get to many calls even if those guys were the best. Stick with what works for you now!

Moyer's Mowriffic Mower, Blower and Snow Thrower Service

Actually, what about Moyer Landscape Service. Landscape Service always sounds a bit more professional and full service to my ears than Mowing Service, and doesn't limit your services in the mind of the customer.

My Uncle had an old drinking buddy that said "If I ever start a mowing business I want to name it ""Sod-em and Go Mow-em"". I thought it was just too funny, but living in Tennessee, the Bible belt, I didn't think it would have gone over too good here.

I would leave it the same. Your current name sounds fine and your customers know you by that name. If you do the best work in town your name makes no difference anyway. Just my opinion.

I was thumbing through the local mini-nickel newspaper tonight and came across a ad for a LCO.

The name of the outfit was Cheech and Chong's Yard Service. No joke! I'm curious if they drive a delivery van made out of pot.

I know I'm in the minority on this, but I say keep you own name as your company name. I think it says you believe in your company and are willing to put your name on it. I use my legal name with lawncare after it and turn down work all the time. I believe if you do quality and professional work you will not need a "catchy" name.

In case you didn't notice, he changed his name a few days ago to Backwoods Lawn, so we might as well close this one.
