Looking for opinions on the best 32" Hydro. Thought a Quick36 might answer my prayers, but we can't fit it through enough back gates. So we are still using Scag and Exmark 32" beltdrives. Any suggestions on the most durable 32" Hydro, preferrably with a Kawasaki engine. Thanks.

What other brands are in your area? This was discussed in a thread earlier today. I'd say as of now a Wright velke mower would be the best 32" walkbehind. Its engine options I think is a 15hp Kawasaki Kai.

I wish the ferris 32 or 36 hydro contols were more like the quick 36. The ferris is a nice mower. I demoed one on a couple lawns and hated the thumb controls they use. If it wasn't for that I would have bought one. Like pretty much every thing else about the mower.

Thanks - just found that thread after I posted this. From what I can tell there is Ferris($?), Snapper ($2.5-3k) and Wright (about $4k). Nearest Wright dealer is 15 miles from our offices - geographically undesirable when it comes to picking up parts/service

Well, what do your dealers sell?

I have the same needs. The dealers in my are that I would buy from are Ferris, Toro, John Deere, and Scag. I want a 32" hydro with a full floating deck.

I am looking at WB mowers, I would like a dual hydro but am having trouble finding that in a 32" or 36" deck.

My next question... Is gear drive the same as belt drive?

Thanks for any help
