Nice.

I am really not a fan of the plastic edging. However that is a vast improvement.

I didn't put any edging down. If you look close in the 1st picture you can see the edging was already there. BTW, it's green steel edging.

This is one of several jobs we picked up passing out our door hangers.

I agree, much improved! Hard to believe that all that was UNDER all of the weeds and grass! Was that Bermuda growing out of the tops of the shrubs along the edge? I'd imigine that's a problem that will persist in the future as well. Looks like they need to keep up with the herbicide treatments to keep that down! That's the same thing that happens to landscaping here, the crabgrass and bermuda just take it over totally in 2 seasons with no care.

Yep, that was Bermuda growing out of the tops of the shrubs. We layed landscaping fabric to help control it for a while.

Bermuda is a horrible weed. I think it will make me rich.

Nice job BTW what was that about 6 man hours?

it looks like the metal edging did a good job of keeping the grass from migrating into the bed.

but the job looks very good. did you dig the plants out by hand or witha machine?

Isnt it amazing how much a little clean up can do! Now only if every one was on board with that mind frame. Looks great!

I bet their neighbors are happy.....

That to me is the best advertisement you can have. I love those small, quick jobs that make a drastic difference...

Good work....
