Anybody know why my zero won't drive? It cranks and will run at max throttle, but when I drop the brake it kills the engine. Finally got it to keep running after brake release but chokes after driving forward. It goes in reverse with know problem. I put in fresh gas and changed fuel filter. Its a 2005 453? commercial 48" deck with the Kaw 23 hp engine.
Thanks:confused:

sounds like a safety interlock problem

the pto , seat, drive levers, have safety devices attached to them at their respective points that will kill the engine if u are not operating the mower properly ie if u have the blades on while not seated u kill the motor....u also have a mercury tilt switch incase mower flips it will shut down, if u look at the wiring diagram that came with the mower u can try the process of elimination...
