I am looking at a couple of used machines and wanted your opinion. I am looking at a 2004 woods M2760 mid mount ztr w/ 400 hrs for $4800.00and a Great Dane chariot w/ peco w/ 600 hrs $4000.00. Do any of you guys have any experience with either of these? I here that woods was built by gravely. Does any one know if this is true?

Thanks in advance
Danny

I believe Gravely was building the woods midmount in 04. The deck was somewhat different than the Gravely decks from what I have read. Otherwise, it was basically a Gravely machine.

Yep, pretty much the case.
Not quite as good as Gravely, but basically the same machine other than the deck.

As for the Great Dane, what year model? Size/Power?

The Great Danes you want to avoid are those with the sideways mounted engine.

The Great dane is a 60'' 26hp kohler. Do not know the year yet. How can you tell the year for sure? What was the problem with the sideways engine?

They don't last long mounted that way.

Overheats the cylinder tucked in towards the operator.

26hp Kolher?
Is it an EFI??? or did you me 25hp?

Anymore info on the woods machines? There is a place here that has a M2760 with 15 hours on it. Does woods make a striping kit? DO they cut well?
