I am looking at getting a new edger and need some advice. Have any of you used the stihl and if so which one do you recommend?

Stihl does not make an edger. You will have to look to other companies.

Try McClane, Proline, or Tanaka. Stay away from Crapsman or similar.

Here in the US, I believe Stihl sells about 6 different models of edgers.

For stick edgers, I think Stihl makes the best.

I see what you are saying. Maybe it is just a regional thing but here we generally refer to "edgers" as the walkbehind type like the brands I listed.

The link you posted and type similar to that we generally call "stick edgers".

Not trying split hairs with anyone. Perhaps I did not understand what he was asking for.

To answer the question, I have the Stihl KM110 Kombi. I have the stick edger attachment and I find that it works nicely. I have never once bogged it down. It has monster power and decent weight. I did replace the handle with an Echo so it is more comfortable to use.
