Hello
I am looking at getting some different blades for my fastrack? I have just the stock mulching blades with the mulching kit on it. I am wondering if a gator blade will help my cut or what would be the best blade to make sure I get the best cut.
thanks
Brandon

You have stock blades or mulching blades?
Here are all your blade options, Gators are a option, they work better for some than others, that is why we also offer the wavy mulching blades.
FasTrak 44 side discharge 784256 stock non Fusion blade
FasTrak 44 side discharge / deck mounted catcher 787739 this is a high lift bagging type blade
FasTrak/MiniZ/Super Mini Z 44 mulching 794693 wavy mulching blade
FasTrak/MiniZ/Super Mini Z 44 Gator 785428 Gator blade
Mini Z/Super Mini Z 44 side discharge 796300 Fusion Blade
I would go with the wavy or Gator blades for mulching.
For side discharging I would go with the Fusion blade.

It depends on your particular conditions.

What are conditions that the gators would be better and what conditions would the hustler mulchers work better??

If your mulching with any type of moisture in the grass your going to want to get the wavy style blades for the best possible cut.
Drier times of the year and during leaf season its a toss up, you could go either way.

I have a 44" fastrack. I picked up the Gator blades and the Aggi store. I used them all season with the mulch kit with no problems in wet or dry conditions. The mulch blades that I bought at Hustler dealer didn't work very well IMO. The only time I put the wavy blades (mulch from Hustler) on my machine is in the fall when there are many leaves down in the grass. it seems to pick up them better. Other then that. I use the Gators.
