Finally took delivery thursday, pretty stable machine working on a steep slope. 80" bucket is very convienant, and break out force is real good. Also picked up used 331 D with hyd. thumb. Today was a great day working on a step slope with 2 machines for first time.

So, how do you like the S220? :)

I only have 6 hours on it so far good. We are digging out stumps and grading a steep hill to get to customers lake front to build a beach. Machine is very stable on hill compared to 185. They had to put wheel spacers on for the tracks making machine even wider. This does help to be more stable, 80" bucket is great.

Seems to have some snot to her, but only 6 hours on it. I think it is around 70 + horsepower.

Looks sweet Mike.

If you don't mind, what's the 220 go for? I just got some S250 prices

Greenmonster look at the Gehl Line up better prices then Bobcat and can handle more. Bay State Equipment in Marlborough, MA has the best deals. Just got mine and I like it so much more than the s250.

Swede, I would only add that in general a Gehl may out perform a similar Bobcat and most certainly will in the price department, but the other half of the equation is resale and Gehl machines don't resale very well.

Mark, My machine tracks, elect. connt. for 6 way blade, wheel spacers , 80" bucket, toth bar, air, Md. sales tax 37k. This machine is sweet, the job im on is down over a very steep bank just for kicks i brought it out going up hill forward with empty bucket. Ive been running these machines since 1994 and have never been on a machine so stable. Every other machine i would of had a full bucket for weight or backed up. Im not flapping my wings but i have a lot of seat time and this machine is a horse. Maybe other brands are better and cheaper but i have sweet machine. Not only that i only live 5 miles from a bobcat dealer that has a nice fleet of rental items and has taken good care of me for service. i'll let you know how it does on a skid of ab. I chose the 220 because of the straight arms, easier to see grading. Check out the 1 pic how stong the arms are in the front tapering down.

I'm looking at 35-38K for a pretty well equipped S250.

I still haven't convinced myself that a wheeled machine is right for us, even though we already have one track loader.

I also haven't convinced myself that I want to buy a new machine. We pay a lot of money every month for what we have already. Of course, 0-3.9 financing for new, vs. 8.9 for used makes quite a difference.

decisions, decisions, decisions.

The Triangle headlights indicate a G-Series machine, Bobcat moved from the F-Series to G sometime around '99.

Oh yeah, the 220 is a 75 Hp net machine. Power to weight ratio is great! Congrats on the new machine, post some pics after you have used it awhile. Bobcats are like Jeeps...They look beter with "battle scars"!

Thanks, the 75 hp engine likes the fuel as much as i do coors light. Battle scars, well we knock out the tail light with in 10 hours. Its 1 tough machine very agile we went up a steep slope with nothing in bucket really impressed me.
