04-01-2007, 07:54 PM
Still waitin' for ours to come in. I was at our dealer Friday and he said hopefully this week:cry: I told him I need it by this Thursday or I'll but somewhere else. I guess they are waiting for a couple more guys to commit before they ship, but I'm tired of waiting for these "couple of other guys".

Looking real good there ! Now thats all the big guns a man needs right there. Thats a nice 8x10 photo pic too! Congrats on the new iron, they should do you very well.

04-01-2007, 08:22 PM
Thanks guys for the comments. I am all ready to go. Here is a picture of my truck and trailer load.

04-01-2007, 08:43 PM
WOWOWOWOW is this a dream?!!?? I can't imagine that is possible!!!When I see that, I start to think that the best way is to change everything each two year!!! I see that all your equipment is diesel but the 777 is gas. Why you didn't choose a 997 with 60" mower?

Congrat for your new acquisitions!
!! your my hero!

04-01-2007, 09:57 PM
do you only speciaize in large area mowing like schools, and athletic fields and such?

Very Nice!! I'd like to work for you just so I could use that equipment. What type of accounts do you have and how many?

04-01-2007, 11:29 PM
I do specialize in large areas. Most of my work is in the 10 to 20 acre range. I have a few 40 to 50 acres pieces as well. I think when all the contracts are finalized i will be mowing approx. 350 acres of turf every 7 days. That will be with me, one full time and a part time guy.

04-02-2007, 02:19 PM
you could mow roadsides on highways with that tractor, nice man

04-02-2007, 02:56 PM
WOW!!! How long will you go(ballpark) befor another complete overhall of the fleet again?

LOVE the ford you got there, to me that is the best part of the setup, how does it do hauling the 37' of equip?

I think if I was you I would spend three days alone just starring at the stuff!

Very impressive. I like that f-350 too, seems to do well pulling that beast of a trailer and its not even a dually. Most trailers that large are pulled by duallies usually.
Whats it like pulling that gooseneck around?
Whats in those card board boxes on the front of the trailer with just the zero-turns on it?

04-02-2007, 05:36 PM
Great Deeres - Sorry bout the FORD. Not enough dimes left over to buy a D'max. Maybe in a few years. LOL - Good 4 U!

04-02-2007, 06:25 PM
Those pics make that truck look pretty small! Nice setup.

All I have to say is WOW! I am so impressed with your setup! I cant begin to tell you how envious I am of your equipment. Can you give us some more info on your background and your business.

04-03-2007, 09:36 AM
Thanks for all the coments guys, it is very much appreicated. To answer a few questions here. I do mow lots of parge areas. I have a couple airports I do, 2 schools, a cities athletic facility, 2 other cities parks and lots, lots of big factories, and some work for the state. I started my business when I was 16 mowing a church and a few cemetaries. I have continued to keep it growing every year. I always. found it cheeper to work longer hours and buy bigger and better equipment thean it was to hire help. I do employ one full time guy now. Plus a few part time guys. Then my brother subs some stuff from me. I also have storage sheds I rent out, paint and sweep parking lots, move snow, and work on the family farm. I stay pretty busy with things. Thansk again for the comments guys. Good luck with all your adventures this year. Lets hope for good weather!!!

Wow!! Man thats a nice setup:dizzy:

04-15-2007, 12:24 PM
Why so many mowers if you only got yourself and another guy? Sounds like with the amount of work you got those babies should be going full tilt all day.

04-15-2007, 08:02 PM
i cant believe that truck can haul that huge of a load, you should send that pic to FORD i bet theyd put you in some add or somting , you should trade that thing in for one of those new 08 450s with the 6.4sss!

I have a question. How does the flex/bat wing mower work for you? I have been contemplating getting one for a couple of my large areas but I just dont know how they cut.

Nice setup by the way, even though it's getting pulled by a Ford:).

JohnDeereGuy, your operation sounds quite similar to mine. I operate Steiners and Dixie Choppers exclusively. I have 4 XXWD5000-72 41.4hp Dixie Diesels with 72" decks, a 50 hp twin engine suburban turb'n 72" Dixie Chopper, a Steiner ST-18 utilimax with snow blower, 42" aerator, 5' front blade, 5' slip scoop. A Steiner 525 Diesel 4wd with boom mower and 6' box scraper, a 420 Steiner with 60" deck and leaf/tree chipper, a Steiner LS340 lawn sweep. 3 Steiner 230 28hp diesels with 72" decks. A 2002 GMC duramax 4wd crew cab dually pulling a 27' triple axle trailer, also a 2001 Ford powerstroke 4wd F250 pulling a 14' trailer and also 6.5' x 12' and a 6.5' x 10' trailers. We maintain a 50 acre(mowing) manufacturing concern, a 45+ acre high school, a 45+ acre college property, the local airport, and several corps of engineers properties plus all the normal stuff. I've found I get the best results using retired guys that only need to work a few hours daily. They are happy and I'm tickled as well. Good luck................Lynn

Yeah, I'd say wow as well.

You must be doing very well... I'd love to have that kind of acreage, then I could justify/afford to buy that type and amount of equipment!

Kudos to you, looks like you've worked hard to get to where you're at.

Its a gooseneck it wont squat the truck, depending on how he loads it of course...

EDIT: I just saw when that guy posted that comment.. But dang!! that is one awesome rig! I think I would get into mowing if I could work for a guy that owned that or have a rig like that!!
