We just bought a Gravely 152M XDZ. It has some great features, like suspension seat is nice, cast iron spindles, bigger (12cc) hydro pumps with dual cooling fans and many more. So far the 10 trips up and down our driveway were sweet. Its been snowing for 24hrs straight, not much accum. where I'm at but freakin cold! I'll post some pics soon.

Fantastic looking mower and good choice on the Gravely! They are some of the finest mowers we have ever used. Very heavy duty and last forever. I see you have the exact same engine thats on our M48 Tank. I wish it had a little more guts once in a while but it may be due to the HUGE hydro pumps and motors Cub commercial uses on the Tanks. That mower is going to serve you well and make you very happy I am 100% sure of that!

Thanks ProStreet, it kinda sickend me to spend $$$$ but what are ya gonna do. The dealer imo is a much more professional place to do business with than the other dealer I was going to.

I ended up buying it for under 7k and dual bagger was another 1700.00 (still debating on the bagger.)

Nice mower, I demoed the 252 before I bought my 260Z w/ the hydro deck & 27hp Kohler for $8K. I've got about 10 hours on it now from just the past week alone and I love it. Fast but leaves a really nice cut. Great choice.

If I remember correctly, J & B Landscaping is mentioned in the movie "Drowning Mona". Funny, quirky "landscaper" movie.

Sweet, who makes the insert and what did it cost you if you don't mind me asking?

Its a Downeaster. It ended up costing us 2400.00 with cab protector. We installed it ourselves, it was a snap! (2hrs). I just got the chance to use it this weekend and OMG! it was nice! No more raking out the bed. Ford is the only truck where the insert bolts directly, (no drilling).

So it drops right into the bed and utilizes the stock bed mount holes? You don't have to cut the bed for the hydraulic ram or anything do you?

Nope! We removed the bolts closest to the cab and the rear bolts, lowered it in, measured a few times and tightend down the clamps, ran the wire through the drain holes in the bed and then drilled out one rubber drain hole in the cab and that was basically it.

I also have a F250 and have been thinking about getting a dump insert. I've been wondering, do you need to take out the bed liner to install a dump insert? Also, do you need to beef up the rear suspension any? Thanks, Mike

I didn't know that the 12 cc hydro pumps were the "big" ones. I thought that was the industrys standerd size. Wanna race my 21 cc pumps?

Well I'm new to the ZTR scene, I guess they used to use 10cc, keep in mind this is a compact rider. I know the Exmark I was going to buy only had 10cc pumps.

Yes the bed liner has to come out...I have a brand new one if any one is interested ($150.00). This only dropped it I would say, about 1/2 inch. BUT with that trailer hooked on it hits the overload spring. So I'm adding 1 extra leaf in the main spring pack and a multi spring helper pack (4 helper springs). I didnt want to go crazy with springs so I thought this was a good compromise and it gets me another 1" higher and about an extra 3000lbs of payload I can load.
