Last week I done a reseed job, put out new topsoil and reseeded, then put hay on top of it. The grass is coming up real good just wanted to know how long to wait before I uncover the grass. May sound like a dumb question but I have just gotten into the reseeding bit, trying to offer clients more than just mow, shrub trimming and replacing mulch, especially after losing 5 more yards this week and starting out spring with a bang and no rain!

You should not have to remove straw from a seeding job. The grass should be able grow up through the straw without the straw being so thick that it suppresses the growth of the new grass.

yeah any loose straw will get mulched up with a good zero turn with mulching blades. the rest can stay.
