I hope this is a prank. If it's true, I hope this man is not a landscaper. On the bright side, if he dies, he's a great candidate for a Darwin award. In case you don't know what that is, here's another link:

I agree with you

What was he mowing his with a gun?

I think he was going to shoot the first LCO that came by to put a flyer on his mailbox

Maybe he wanted to make sure he didnít get lawn mower jacked

We need to create the most stupid person award for us to give out

He thought he could possibly hunt while cutting the grass.

Was he on Varmit Patrol? BTW, what is a safety for, anyway?

No safety on any revolver I've ever seen. Besides, do you think this idiot would be any less dangerous with it that way? Some people just pollute the gene pool.

Yes, this guy deserves the Darwin award- however. Some dogs can be very aggressive. My dad had a doberman next door to him 10 years back which would ALWAYS come tearing across the street at him when he mowed his own lawn. Turns out it was a bluff. Dog had no bite in him. Imagine a dog that would follow through. I'd bring a gun and pop him when no one was looking.

Regarding the lack of a safety...... that is why most revolvers have tough trigger pulls. Unless it was modified or a cocked single action.... I just do not see how it could just go off?

There is a safety for Smith & Wesson revolvers it's called a Magna Trigger, it will allow it to fire only if you are wearing a special ring, it's not cheap but if you have kids it's worth it!
