You make a pole when you make the post. Most of us bring it ourselves.

Anything seven yards and under, I use my 10K trailer. Over seven yards, I have them bring me at least ten since that gives me free delivery.:)

How many of you dump it out of your own truck and how many fill wheel barrows from the back of the truck?

We use dumptrucks

Most of the landscapers i deal with at the garden center use trucks or trailers... very few have it delivered... between landscapers and homeowners we go through about 80 - 90 truck loads a year which is about 10,000 yards

If you cant afford a $35 delivery charge you might be in the wrong business.

I dont have the means of bringing my own mulch to jobsites so I just get it delivered. I can call the store and have it delivered within an hour on most days and they charge like $20 for up to 12 yards delivered. This just gets added to the bill and I dont have to worry about having a trailer or picking anything up. Get about 100 yards a year delivered this way so not too much compared to some guys on here but it works out nicely

for those who have mulch delivered by the mulch store, how much do you charge a yd for installing it? since you just pass the delivery and mulch bill to the customer

are regular supplier 25 delivery a trip. Premium supllier charges 40 we pick up anything less than 6 yards. But we got a new dump truck to be reasy for work at the end of april. Then we should get at least 10 to 12 yards in it I hope! Also we try and shovel out of truck/trailer it is easier than shoveling off the ground. we charge 60 a yard on up payup

I've used to have the larger jobs delivered. I've realized tho that you can spread the mulch so much faster out of the back of the truck. With a helper I can do close to 4 yards an hour out of the truck depending on the job. It more than makes up for the extra time spent running back and forth for another load. Not to mention that shoveling out of the truck is much easier on the back.

when you say hidden dump do you mean a bed hoist? Like the whole pickup bed dumps back? If so how do you like it? How hard was it to install, did you have to brace the bed? Ive been looking at these for mulch jobs

I use a dump trailer for mulch. I load the wheelbarrows right from the trailer. Hardly any clean-up. Plus I have a lot of house side by side. Using the trailer allows me to move around from house to house when I have extra on the trailer.

I often have it delivered especialy when its over 2-3 yards. I doesn't cost much and isn't really worth it for me to do all the running around to get it. Often my customers will make the order and i don't even have to deal with it. I just measure up the yrds and they choose what blend they want and then i install it. I had a client recently who already got their mulch delivered before i even showed up this spring.
