What do you guys think? C4500 or F550. I like the f550 since I can still get into the bed without having to get a step ladder, lol.

What do you guys think? pros and cons of both?

I'd go with a F-550 since its less bulky and huge while also having enough power and capability.
One of my buddies who's also landscaper has an International 4300 with a landscape dump body. It's very similar to the f-550 and chevy 4500 and 5500.
One of the best things about it is its tight turning radius. Awesome truck IMO and looks really sharp. I can get a pic. of it if you'd like.

sold my f-550 and looking for a 4500 or 5500 or 6500, power, brakes, reliability. You aren't even even comparing equals., price is more for Gm and their is a reason. Also look at fl-50 or 4700 with a dt 466, not the dt 444.

I went through the same dilemma this past winter and bought the truck in sig. for numerous reasons.
Both are good trucks, both have good and bad qualities. First decide what you need to get out of the truck and how it will be utilized. Not just how much it can carry, but also the areas you'll be driving in (the 4500 turns a much tighter circle than the 550), towing capacity (are you pulling mowers or heavier equipment), how many guys will be in the cab at once (I think the 550 is a little more "roomy" over all), dealer support (you'll need good mechanics if there is a problem or for maintenance), etc.
Take your time with the decision and think outside the box. I looked for 2 months before I decided on the Ford and which dealer would earn my business.
