I am renovating a lawn for a friend, and I would like to use the walk-behind aerator and slit seeder method. My plan is to tear the existing yard up with the aerator in two directions. Then I will slit seed the lawn in two directions. My question is if this is the way that you guys would do it, or is there a better way? Also, how much cleaning of thatch and debris is there when you slit seed? Should I be planning on handraking or blowing the lawn afterward?
