I am looking to purchase a Hustler for the first time and am not sure
which one to buy. I just purchased a home with 7.5 acre and need
a good mower. I have looked at some of the others- (Bad Boy, Grasshopper)
but I like the look and feel of the Z. My question is which to buy.
I had been looking at the 25 kaw 60" Z ($7299) but now I wonder if I should
get the 27 koh 66" super Z ($8299). I think I can get a couple hundred off
of those prices. I will only be using this for my own yard
and probably won't mow all of it every week. It is mainly rough right
now (the previous owner had a couple of cows on it)- .5 acre smooth.
I was looking to buy the suspension seat so that is why I think I will like
the super Z for $500 more. Price is an issue- I got a quote for a 26 kaw lc
super for $9500+. I would love some input -please!

If you want the suspension seat its a no brainer, go with the Super Z.
It is going to be more productive and so much more value for your money.
The 27/66's are in limited supply and are a higher demand mower, i would get it before its gone.
Another option though...
Buy the Hustler Z and put some Flex Forks and a Flex seat on the mower to smooth out the ride in those rough parts of the lawn.
These options could also be added to the Super...

I assume you have a flat lawn there in KS.. If you have any hills at all I would reccomend the Hustler Z and add the sus. seat 350.00 and the FF 225.00.. If you are just cutting your own It wont matter If it takes 10% longer with teh 60 inch deck.

You were right about the 27 66. Nobody has it. I think I want to go
with the super Z but I can't decide which engine. The choices are
24 honda, 25 kaw, or the 27 Kohler. The Honda is an 06 for $7700,
The Kaw and Kohler are both 07 and are $8000. All have the 60" deck.
I got a higher price for an 07 Honda-$8300.
Which is the best engine? Will it matter with what I have to mow?
Thanks!

Thank you for the input. I hope I made the right decision.
I bought mine before I recieved your last post.
I just purchased the 24 honda for $7500 delivered to my door. -
(dealer is 75 miles from my house)
I thought it sounded like a great deal. Please somebody tell
me I made a good choice! I have to say when I
drove the honda it felt a way better than the bad boy I tested.
So much smoother and more comfortable. I felt like I was driving
a super mowing machine compared to riding on top of a box!
They are bringing it out on Sunday -I can't wait!
I will let you know how it does.
