mulch - yard to square footage

how many square feet, 3" deep to a yard ?

how about if it's 2" deep ?

my customer said the last time she mulched, she used 6 yards. my measurements total to 1938 square feet. at 100 sq ft /yard I get 19 yards!

LENGTH x WIDTH x (depth /12) / 27 is how many yards

you are right on with your calculations.

a cube at 3 in deep is 108ft^2
a cube at 2 in deep is 162ft^2
