I need to get 6.5yds of cypress mulch for a job and was wondering about how much it will weigh to see if I can make it in one trip. I know 3yds weighed down my single axle 6x12. Thanks

I can get 3 yards on my 6x10. Mulch is not very heavy.

If 3yrds weighed it down....then how do you think that 6.5 yards will work? Unless it's a different trailer.

I plan on using a friends 16ft. dual axle and it looks like it will do the job. Thanks guys

each yard weighs approx. 500 - 700 pounds depending on moisture

I did about 5.5 yards the other day, with 4 ft sides on my 6x12....it was slow....but it worked....

i figure 500 lbs bone dry and 750 wet

I figured a single axle 6x12 has what....a 3500 lb axle? Sooooo... figure my 1400 lbs for the trailer itself, wood sides etc . Does that mean you only have another 2100 to work with? That's only 4 yards dry and maybe 3 wet!?!?!?
