those are some pretty nice welds on the cage. i need one for our trailer so bad. soon ill get pics of the setup we have now.

try cleaning your welds first, youll get a loss less splatter with it. What size wire are you using, and what settings on the welder.

looks like flux core to me. Little bit a time with the grinder or wire wheel. Otherwise it looks good.

yea, theres nothing you can do to prevent the spater so i will be hitting it with the grinder. They do have a spray that is supposed to reduce the spatter but i dont care for it.

i use flux core as well, i wipe it with acetone first and have little to no splatter. Just depends on the project though, i am almost finished with my cage as well. will snap a few new pics today./

Looks good. I'm starting mine tomarrow in my high school welding class.
