View Full Version : Metro 48 blade won't disengage
I have a 1999 Metro 48" mower and when I pull the lever to disengage the blade, the belt doesn't disengage fully. The belt loosens, but seems to jump between engaged and disengaged and I have to kill the engine the get it to stop (when I restart, the blade doesn't engange until I pull the blade lever).
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hello gjd,
We have seen two issues concerning this. One is the belt guide needing adjustment the other is in the belt itself. After market belts do not always match our specs. Best place to start is making sure the belt guide is adjusted correctly (as directed in the Operator manual for your machine).
