Need landscaping books, magazines, or website

My wife and I really want to make our landscaping stand out by having a really full and colorful flowerbeds. We really need a lot of visual aids so can anyone recommend some good DIY books, magazines, or websites that would help us out with plant selection and layout?

Check out Amazon.com and do a search on their books. One in particular is a series made for different parts of the country. Just type in "home landscaping" and then find your area. These books are great, showing plans for different areas and includes lists on how many plants you will need, etc.

Also check out Lowe's or Home Depot. They usually have a great selection. Good luck!
