brake line question

do you have to have the curls on the brake line that look like a spring? or can u just take it off and put it on without it? oh and BTW its going on a 1989 F-250. thanks

You want it to have some curls or loop it some. It needs to flex some or it can crack. Usually from the master cylinder down to where it is clamped to the frame rail it will be curled so it can absorb vibrations.
