I put down CGM in my back yard last week. Now it seems I have alot of extra birds in my yard. My wife has a feeder and uses black oil sunflower seeds and usually the birds are on and under the feeder. But now they are all over the yard. So are they eating it or not?

Hey,

I apply CGM on my organic programs. I have seen geese tear meal up here in MD, It's a great source of protien probably better than bird food. Most is feed grade shouldn't hurt them.

Absolutely they'll eat the CGM. The bird seed I buy has cracked corn in it, and they love it.

One note:
make sure they're eating the corn. Certain species of birds are insectivores, and it could be indicative of an insect infestation.

So in reality rhe organic fertilizing is being done by the hundreds of birds in our yard since I put down the CGM.
