laying sod

I have a customer that has zoisia grass spreading into his lawn from his neighbors lawn(all zoisia). He asked me if i could rip up his lawn and re sod it for him. i told him i would get back to him with an answer. anyway what would the best way of doing this? i have laid sod many times. but never where zoisia used too be. i heard the zoisia root will kill the sod if you dont get all the roots up. and i heard getting the roots up is hard? any suggestions?
btw this is not my first time laying sod.

rip up the entire area, including some of the bad area. Probably need a skidsteer for the day. Put in a french drain or a plant bed between his neighbor with the zoisia and his lawn. Grade the area, spread topsoil thin in the area, and lay your sod. IS this job in haskell by any chance i got a call to lay sod over there today?

You could spray it and kill it first before you remove it.
